If you’re a bride who has a modern edge but you still want your wedding day to look romantic then you’re going to love today’s wedding inspiration shoot. The gorgeous creations are brought to you from the dream team that is locally based FJS Photography and the Flower Story.
‘‘The inspiration is contemporary and garden chic’’
Contemporary and garden chic were the order of the day - the perfect combination if you are torn between a city or a country wedding.
The shoot features bold florals and styling in the prettiest countryside location. The sugary colour palette of pale pinks was cut with dusky lilac and gold giving a luxe tonal look.
“I love the full on luxe floral movement that is popular in Korea and America right now and wanted to translate that look to a countryside environment. Luckily we had the perfect country location in the apple orchard next to my studio.” Floral designer Lizzy Jones (The Flower Story)
The key to this modern romantic look is texture, colour and the juxtaposition of hard and soft. These elements were brought together in a bouquet of bold anthuriums, cascading orchids, marshmallow ranunculus and scented garden roses. All tied with hand dyed cascading silk ribbons.
The table nestled under the apple trees was set with coloured table linen and gold cutlery tied with silk ribbons. Vases and urns filled with garden roses, orchids, tulips and marshmallow ranunculus ran along the middle of the table. Dotted with candles, votives and hand made gold edged menu’s by Tiggity Boo all framed by a lush hanging greenery garland.
“Foliage and blush pink is one of my favourite colour combinations, so I was absolutely thrilled to be involved with the beautiful shoot with Lizzy. The setting was stunning to photograph, and the styling of the table was just breathtaking.
The choices of flowers complimented each other perfectly, and the foliage garland was the perfect accompaniment to the style. It was an absolute pleasure to photograph this shoot!” Nicki from FJS Photography
