If, like many other couples, your dream wedding ceremony would take place outside against a beautiful landscape backdrop, it can feel disheartening to not be able to plan the perfect weather for your big day. Nikki from Nikki’s Moments Photography and Film has joined us today to share this stunning styled shoot with just one outcome, bringing the beauty of the outdoors in!
Seeing so many couples with their heart set on an outdoor ceremony, there is often disappointment when the wedding is moved inside due to the weather. With this in mind Nikki from Nikki’s Moments Photography and Film wanted to create a shoot based around the concept of bringing the outside in, showing that an inside option can be just as beautiful and floral!
The design was carefully thought out to create lots of different textures, for that wild look whilst maintaining the elegance and beauty of the design.
With a modern, contemporary yet elegant theme in mind, the simplicity of The Barn at Alswick provided the perfect backdrop to let the flowers take the focus.
The Colour Scheme
With white’s and subtle pastels, the simple colour scheme flows beautifully throughout this shoot, from the table styling to the outfits. By introducing the texture of the floral greenery the elegant, yet wild of the outdoors is reflected in every element, whilst the couple portraits embrace a more neutral and blush flower choice.
IndieBride London selected this stunning vintage lace dress, the simple silhouette of the front is elegant, whilst the back provides a dramatic shape! The long lace flared sleeves are ideal for our English weather, taking you from outside in.
The bride is has been adorned with some stunning accessories provided by Rachel Sokhal Bridal Accessories, which reflect the simple elegance of the shoot.
The Hair and Makeup
Katie Bish Makeup and Emma Kim Hair worked together to create a beautifully simple, yet elegant bridal look, with the final look complementing the vintage texture of the dress. Emma Kim created two stunning hairstyles for this bride, a simple up-do for the ceremony, with the option to let it down for a more bohemian loose reception style.
Katie Bish opted to create a subtle makeup look, which emphasises the natural beauty of the bride, without overpowering her overall look.
Dressed in this Next suit, the groom provides a contrast to the bridal look, whilst complementing the simplicity of the buttonhole flower.
Sweet smelling o’hare roses, subtle pink bombastic spray roses, ranunculus, anemones, ammi and delphiniums all came together to create a wild relaxed look and feel. Willow & Blossom Floral Design also used hypericum berries for a hint of colour and drama. The taller, intricate designs create a stunning backdrop which are perfect for your ceremony or top table.
For a cake that reflects the shoot in such a stunning way Bakerman Cakes created a simple four tiered white cake which was embellished with fresh flowers. The stunning design definitely has the wow factor.
The Table Styling
The table styling by Queen and Eden reflect the inspiration of bringing the outside in. Primarily cream, with hints of colour through the sage tableware, glassware and stunning metallic detail.
Olive & Millicent Stationery created elegant on the day stationery, hand painted with an exquisite floral design. These beautiful pieces are timeless and look gorgeous as part of the table decor.
