A sunny evening, a glass of prosecco in my hand and a room full of amazing creative people - a wonderful way to spend an April evening. This was my experience this week when I went along to the launch event for the new Barn at Brookend Farm, in Barton-Le-Clay Bedfordshire.
I always love the buzz of excitement around a new wedding venue, and this one did not disappoint. The barn area has recently been renovated and is ready for the 2019 wedding season. If you want a rustic wedding in a stunning countryside setting then you MUST go and visit.
The barn itself is in an L shape, with the rustic beams and features still on display. For the preview evening one half of the barn was set for a ceremony and the other for a meal and it looked beautiful.
The barn itself will soon be licensed for wedding ceremonies and there is enough space to sit 110 for your reception. The land surrounding the barn is also stunning with a small but beautiful lake just a few metres away from the barn and enough space for a marquee if you want a larger reception.
On the preview evening the barn had been beautifully decorated with the help of White Button Weddings and was adorned with stunning floral arrangements from Flowers at 58. The ceremony chairs were covered with gorgeous lace covers from Beautiful bows and I always love the edition of the large LOVE lights from The Vintage Wedding Drive.
The evening was informal and a great opportunity to see the venues potential and to get a feel for the ambience. We were treated to some live music from local singer Briar Rouge and one of my favourites - saxophonist Dom plays sax. If you don’t have any live music booked for your wedding, then consider finding some - it makes all the difference to the atmosphere!
We were treated to prosecco as well as some delicous canapés from The Chefs table and although I was too busy chatting to eat much - the white chocolate and baileys tart I tried was delicious.
This venue is perfect if you want a relaxed, countryside vibe on your wedding day. Tucked away in Barton Le Clay - it’s a hidden gem. Sarah and the venue team are very accommodating and you can even dry hire the venue if you want to put your own touches to your day.
The grounds surrounding the barn are beautiful, so if you want some onsite accommodation there is plenty of room for glamping tents - I got a sneak peek of the bridal suite tent and it really was cosy and romantic!
If you want to be one of the first to take a look around this stunning new Bedfordshire barn then get in touch with Sarah and the venue team, and don’t forget to tell them you are an ‘Engage bride.’
