Bedfordshire based Victoria of Victoria Mitchell Photography is here to show you a wonderful shoot that took place in Tulum, Mexico thanks to a workshop put together by the Wild Ones.
Along with many talented suppliers and models Cally & Michael, they were able to capture a true Mexico Elopement Dream.
Oh Tulum…what a magical place you are! It was the first time that I had ever visited Mexico and so Tulum will always have a special place in my heart. It is also a place that, without question, I would love to return to one day. This once sleepy town still retains a calming relaxed vibe and I don’t think I have ever been anywhere quite so beautiful! From it’s pure white sandy beaches and clear crystal blue warm waters of the Caribbean sea, to the historic Mayan ruins which could give the most spectacular backdrop to your wedding photos! …Overall Tulum is an absolute dream destination wedding location!
So why Choose Tulum as your wedding destination?
Tulum is the perfect alternative for still being in the midst of the stunning Riviera Maya whilst not being in the hub of touristy Cancun. So if you’re looking to have an intimate wedding or elopement in this stunning part of the world but without feeling as though you’re on Spring break(!)…then this is most definitely for you!
Tulum, with it’s perfect Bohemian vibe and gorgeous aesthetic is located perfectly on the Caribbean coast and boasts numerous stunning beaches, a sumptuous jungle and clear water cenotes dotted all around. So there is so much for couples to enjoy together as newlyweds!
The location for the shoot was at the gorgeous Maxanab Hotel, situated perfectly on the beach…making this venue truly unforgettable…it definitely is a unique and magical paradise.
Cally got ready in her stunning Grace Loves Lace dress in a beautiful suite with an infinity pool overlooking lush green palm trees and white sands.
The Styling and Flowers
The couple then moved down to the beach where Maria Limon, the extremely talented and wonderful stylist/florist, had set up the most beautiful and intimate ceremony space which was sophisticated in it’s simplicity with lots of neutral and nude tones.
The Table and the Stationery
Their table set up later on in the day was luxurious with soft muted pinks and the same nude elements that had been created for the ceremony earlier that day. The stationery beautifully reflected the escapism of the elopement wedding idea, bringing touches of green to the table.
Photographing details is one of my favourite things to do and I certainly was not short of these! I loved photographing Cally & Michael in Tulum. They were THE sweetest couple and I was the happiest photographer capturing this beautiful boho elopement shoot. So who will I get to experience this amazing part of the world with again?
